An accidental purchase of old bench ends, which were lovingly restored and assembled as a gift for a big, big birthday, has resulted in a rather beautiful collection of vintage benches.....and more!

Having always enjoyed restoring and renovating 'Garden Perch' is a mini platform to sell (rather than keep!) any treasures transformed.

 

All the benches featured have a story.  A favourite having been collected from an octogenarian farmer who was finally 'retiring' and selling up his Northamptonshire farm.  Despite claiming to be retiring he seemed to be filling up his old tractor with fertilizer rather energetically & looked ready to go back out to the fields.  Others have come from auction houses from Wooler to Truro, Chichester, Hereford, Kent or homes from Winchester to Weymouth.  All have needed rescuing and their beauty restored.  Once completed, they are fit for new homes with their old and original purpose revived.

These are happy benches - unique gifts for weddings, birthdays or a house warming perhaps.  They can be colourful, a feature in a garden or introducing a new vantage point somewhere.  They can be a place of reflection and calm, or chatter, laughter and gossip.  And the other items....well, they are ready to be very much enjoyed too!
